Meaning & symbolism
Tree agate is an opaque white to cream chalcedony crossed by green branching patterns that look like trees or ferns drawn on snow. The silica is so dense and fine that light scatters before it can pass through, which is what separates it from translucent moss agate. Like moss agate it has no concentric banding, so it is strictly an included chalcedony rather than a true agate. Nearly all tree agate on the market comes from India.

How to use it
Hold a palm stone or sphere when you feel scattered, wear a bracelet daily during a period of change, or keep a piece in a shared family space. These are traditional uses, not medical advice.
Cleansing & care
Durable: Mohs 6.5 to 7 with no cleavage. A quick rinse with mild soap is fine. Chalcedony is slightly porous, so keep lotions and perfume away and avoid long soaks. Natural colour does not fade in sunlight; dyed green pieces may.
