Kyanite takes its name from the Greek kyanos, deep blue. In crystal tradition it is a stone of attunement and of clear, accurate speech: it is used to bring the chakras and the mind back into line rather than to add energy, and blue kyanite is tied above all to the throat chakra and to saying the true thing rather than the easy one.

In crystal tradition unakite is a heart stone for slow work: grief that will not resolve on a schedule, habits that keep restarting, and beginnings you feel ambivalent about. Its pink and green are read together as gentleness and growth at once. These are traditional associations, not medical claims.

Apatite is the stone of clarity and motivation: the link between having an idea and doing something about it. Its name comes from the Greek apatao, to deceive, given in 1786 because the mineral was repeatedly mistaken for peridot, beryl, topaz and tourmaline. In tradition, blue apatite is reached for around honest speech, deep blue around mental clarity and dream recall, green around connection to the natural world, and golden yellow around drive and follow-through. These associations are tradition and intuition, not medical fact.

The stone of calm truth-telling. Chrysocolla is associated in crystal tradition with unhurried, honest communication, with diplomacy under pressure, and with the compassion that keeps honesty kind. Throat chakra first, heart chakra close behind.

Chrysoprase is traditionally worked with as a heart stone for self-forgiveness, hope and quiet renewal. It is the gentlest of the green heart stones, and it suits people who are generous with everyone else and merciless with themselves.
