How to work with them
Tradition matches different stones to different kinds of restlessness. Amethyst and lepidolite are the usual choices for a racing mind, blue lace agate and aquamarine for a tight chest before speaking, rose quartz for a harsh inner voice and howlite for a short temper. Smoky quartz and black tourmaline suit overstimulation, and selenite is used to calm a busy room. These are traditional associations, most useful as a cue for a few slow, long exhales.
